Energy reference meter IEM

The IEM enables efficient use in various charging infrastructure applications, such as DC wallboxes, high-power chargers, megawatt charging systems and other applications as well as smart metering point operation.

    Installation flexibility

    Thanks to the shunt-based measurement, the DC meter is highly compact. The display unit (DU) and the sensor unit (SU) can be installed up to 15 meters apart offering a high degree of flexibility in installation. This means that the sensor unit can also be installed in hard-to-reach areas with challenging environmental conditions. Additionally, the CAN interface enables the measurement of real-time data (e.g., T, I, U, P, ...) with a sampling rate of 10 ms.

    Characteristics:

    • Accuracy class B according to EN 50470 (MID) 
    • Creation and internal storage of charging transactions in standardized OCMF format 
    • MID certification, certification in accordance with the German Calibration Law, LNE
    • Communication interfaces: OCMF (RJ45, Ethernet, IEM-DCR only), CAN info for real-time measurement data
    • Compensation options: 4-wire measurement, parametric compensation

    • SU-125: Nominal current measuring range up to 125 A and 1000 V
    • The top-hat rail design for mounting in a wide variety of housings
    • 2 voltage channels
    • MID certification, certification in accordance with the German Calibration Law, LNE 
    • Areas of application: DC wall boxes and smaller DC charging stations

    IEM-DCS-125 sensor unit for stand-alone operations

    • SU-125: Nominal current measuring range up to 125 A and 1000 V
    • Measurement data is recorded in real time
    • 2 voltage channels
    • Signed energy values
    • Areas of application: DC wall boxes up to 125 A

    IEM-DCR-1000/-1500 – sensor unit and display unit

    • SU-1000: Nominal current measuring range up to 1000 A, 1500 V
    • SU-1500: Nominal current measuring range up to 1500 A, 1500 V
    • 4 voltage channels
    • Sensor unit can be mounted via busbar
    • MID certification, certification in accordance with the German Calibration Law, LNE
    • Areas of application: DC charging stations, megawatt charging systems

    IEM-DCS-1000/-1500  – sensor unit for stand-alone operations

    • SU-1000: Nominal current measuring range up to 1000 A, 1500 V
    • SU-1500: Nominal current measuring range up to 1500 A, 1500 V
    • Measurement data is recorded in real time
    • Signed energy values
    • Sensor unit can be mounted via busbar
