Improving our competitiveness, occupational health and safety, protecting the health of our employees and treating our environment with care are integral parts of our corporate policy.
That is why we are committed every day to using our world's natural resources sparingly and to constantly improving our employee performance.
Furthermore, we regularly review and evaluate the applicable legal regulations. Isabellenhütte is also committed to an open dialog with authorities and the public.
Because the careful treatment of the environment and the use of energy is important to us, we have introduced an environmental and energy management system in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 14001 and DIN EN ISO 50001, which supports us in our endeavors:
- to always use machines, devices and work equipment in accordance with their intended use and to evaluate them with respect to their effects on the environment, occupational health and safety and energy efficiency prior to their use
- to inform and instruct our employees so that they are informed of all possible dangers and burdens
- to take organizational precautions in order to take quick and correct countermeasures in emergencies and to investigate their causes in order to avoid future emergency situations
- to promote environmental awareness among all employees and to actively involve them
- to design our products and production processes to be as environmentally friendly and energy efficient as possible and to give them the highest level of technical occupational safety
- to optimize the use of resources, the generation of emissions and the production of waste in accordance with the operational possibilities
- to select suppliers, business partners and service providers, etc. so that they are in line with our company policy
CO2-awareness
Isabellenhütte has set itself the goal of taking a pioneering role in CO2 neutrality. We actively pursue every opportunity to minimize our carbon footprint through the adoption of cutting-edge energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy sources, and comprehensive sustainability measures.
Beyond reducing emissions, we take responsibility for offsetting any remaining carbon through investments in high-impact CO2 compensation projects, including reforestation and renewable energy initiatives across Europe.
